Masked Man 77/100: The Man Behind the Walls

Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 4 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about self identity, self worth and self love in relationships.
Masked Man #77 is the Man Behind the Walls. He bravely shares two love stories and how those experiences have made it difficult for him to trust in relationships today. I really like how honest he is in explaining why he resorts to the shut down method not because he doesn't have feelings, but because he doesn't want to hurt or be hurt.
In this episode we discuss what it means to be truly in love, how much status is involved in how we choose partners, and the balance in having a desire to be needed in a relationship along with being able to fulfill your own needs. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

It's been a wild time learning to speak dude and get a glimpse of how these guys think, but I really want to push it this season and see how we can build better relationships. Masked Man #76 is the Friend With Benefits. We talk about how to filter out Fuck Boys and how to have a healthy relationship with sex.
In this episode we talk about the new rules of dating, and how we are treating our partners like pets and use sex as a reward for good behaviour. We discuss what makes sex meaningful and share our thoughts on sexual health, from STDs to birth control.
And he shares an excellent example of a healthy Friends with Benefits situation. It can be done! Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

Season 3 Finale: What 25 Men Taught Me About Myself
Monday Aug 02, 2021
Monday Aug 02, 2021
Welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show and here is the Season 3 recap of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all around the world about masculinity, sex and relationships, and how that contributes to our self worth.
This took me FOREVER to edit. It was such a transitional time for me and it definitely showed in these interviews. From giving compassion to the men on this show, I was able to give compassion and love to myself. And I reflect on a lot of our understanding of self worth and sex stems from fear of rejection. And of course, we debate about whether there is a virtue in ghosting and how some men have defined masculinity and the role for men in this modern world. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about self identity, self worth and self love.
This week is the season finale and I’m finishing off our third quarter of the series with another stranger who dared to take the risk and live life on his own terms. Masked Man #75 is the Black Sheep. As the oldest in a household of 7 siblings, his decision to jump on a one-way ticket to Vancouver set the stage for his journey into the self.
In this episode we discuss checking our egos when we have to return to a conversation we didn't really handle very well the first time. And it made me start to think about how much we always come back to something that already happened and try to repair the situation. Can we start having conversations and set intentions and expectations before things have to turn south? And you know how much I love using analogies so this episode we talk about making a sandwich. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all around the world about masculinity, sex and relationships, and how that contributes to our self worth.
And this week is the season finale! So I went on a search for another man that also spends his time interacting with random strangers. Masked Man #74 is the Wandering Poet. He spends his life writing poems for people in the park and shares his observations on strange men.
In this episode we talk about getting intimate with strangers, the unspoken danger in social situations with acquaintances, how hurt people hurt people, what trust means in a relationship, our lack of vocabulary to articulate the breath of our emotions and whether there are good and bad aspects to ghosting. And in general, we discuss how to cultivate more compassion for shitty men. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about masculinity, relationships and self love.
Masked Man #73 is the Man With Intention. He shares his perspective on what it means to live with intention, as a balance of openness to receive what the world brings you through the interactions we have with select people in this world.
In this episode, we bring up the notion of getting burned when touching a hot pan and learning not to do it again. But then does that encourage us to seek out people to cook on our behalf? Or, do we learn how to hold a pan and then use that as leverage against those that have not learned? All about ego, intentions and expectations, layered in fear and self worth. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.

Masked Man 72/100: The Grown Man

Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about masculinity, and how our relationships affect our self worth.
This week is all about the concept of love, how we define it, how we give it, and how we receive it. Masked Man #72 is the Grown Man. He shares his perspective on the balance in both accepting the truth as well as the consequences of articulating that truth.
In this episode we discuss whether or not we can go back to the past, and apologize for our mistakes. I think there is an element of not wanting to move backwards, but why do we think it is a step in the wrong direction? I think in focusing on moving forward, we might be too quick to cut out people in our lives when we were not our best selves. But that's not to say we can't come back stronger than ever. I am hopeful. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.
